As part of our advanced project planning course I decided to create a creature rig. The model I used for this, and its textures are made by Drew Mitchell.

For the rig I saw it important for the legs to be as easy to work with as possible and as such most of my time on the rig has been spent on founding ways to do this. This was due to me being unable to find specific instructions on how to create these legs and as such needing to deep dive in both the internet as well as pre-existing rigs. The end result is based on Pavel Barnevs’ video on how to rig horse legs and as such it only has two visible controllers, the main leg controller and the pole vector. Where the main leg control also has three additional attributes.

Further I also wanted to be able to move all fins with the body, however, this proved difficult and as such I decided to do this at a later stage. The model has therefore more detailed fin-rigs on its legs and face.
